Attraction of the Fern

The New Zealand fern is unique in that the majority of the species are endemic with over 150 species growing in sizes from 2 cm to trees of 15 metres. Greengrow ferns thrive almost anywhere and have proven to be adaptable to most climates and are very easy to grow.

There is nothing like a Greengrow fern to set off the garden and give it that unique tropical feel even in cold climates. The primeval fonds atop the rhizome (or trunk) recall an era of dinosaurs, volcanoes and carnivorous swamps.
